Obituary of Diedre Ryan Makatche

Diedre Ryan Makatche, age 58, of Glen Mills, PA passed away on April 10, 2018 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Born in Philadelphia, Diedre graduated from Archbishop Carroll, class of 1977. She then received her BS from Drexel University in 1981. In addition, Diedre also furthered her education receiving her nursing degree. She worked many years in the Pharmaceutical industry in sales. A resident of Glen Mills for 35 years, she previously resided in Wayne, PA. Devoted to her faith, Diedre was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church where at one time, she taught CCD and coached CYO sports. Devoted to her home and family, she also was quite involved in her children's school sporting activities. In addition to her father, Thomas Ryan, she is preceded in death by a brother, Kim Ryan. Diedre is survived by her husband of 36 years, Wayne P. Makatche, 4 children, Shanon, Brenan (Hayley), Mackenzie and Nolan, her mother, Dolores Sutcliff Ryan, 2 brothers, Thomas and Mark Ryan, 5 sisters, Colleen Conley, Michele Bitters, Laurie-Kyle Scudder, Kristen Deitrick, and Patrice Colton. A visitation will be held on April 24, 2018, Tuesday, from 9:15-10:15AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church (New Church), 430 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM. Interment will remain private
