Obituary of Mary Ann Cheyney

Mary Ann Cheyney, age 67, of Garnet Valley, PA passed away peacefully on March 31, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. A Garnet Valley resident for 40 years, Mary Ann previously resided in N. Wilmington, DE. Mary Ann retired from I.A. Construction where she was employed for over 30 years. She was an active member of Elam U.M. Church. Mary Ann had a passion for caring for her lawn & garden, however her greatest passion was her grandchildren who she enjoyed watching weekly. She enjoyed spending time with her family and every Friday with her sisters having lunch. She also enjoyed family vacations in Myrtle Beach, SC.. In addition to her parents Raymond and Georganna Miller Crowder, she is preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Crowder Jr. and a sister, Virginia Crowder-Chaffee. Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jesse A. Cheyney, 2 Daughters, Jessica (Andrew) Morgan and Meredith (Robert) Lawler, 3 brothers, Robert, Gary and Steven Crowder, 4 sisters, Carol Mitchell, Christine Biondi, Denise Crowder and Candy Adkinson and 6 grandchildren, Blake, Addison and Reese Morgan, Finnley, Brody and Dayton Lawler. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening, 6-8PM at the Elam U.M. Church, 1073 Smithbridge Rd., Glen Mills, PA 19342 and again on Friday Morning at church, 9-10AM followed by Funeral Services at 10AM. Interment, Elam Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elam U.M. Church at the above address.
