Obituary of Margaret C Cheyney

Margaret C. "Peggy" Cheyney (nee Watkins), age 87, of Garnet Valley, PA passed away peacefully on March 10, 2018. Born in Upper Chichester, Peggy has been a lifelong Bethel Twp. resident. Peggy was a homemaker devoted to her faith and family. She attended Elam U.M. Church in Glen Mills, PA. Peggy taught ceramic classes at her home, hand china painted, had a love for birds and enjoyed her annual trips to Florida during the winter months. She was quick witted, young at heart, fun loving person who loved dressing up in costumes at Halloween or just sporting silly hats. She was an organizer of the annual Francis Harvey Green School May Fair and ran the ticket booth for 30 years. In addition to her parents, Jesse C. Watkins and Emma McMaster Watkins, she was predeceased by her husband, Arthur L. Cheyney who died in 1992 (married 46 years) and sisters, Dorothy Rosati and Barbara "Dukie" Ferreira. She is survived by her children; Jesse A. (Mary Ann) Cheyney, Brian G. (Cindy) Cheyney, Beverly Dawn (Jack) Pullin and Gail (Jim) McKay, sister; Charlotte Watkins Petrone, 7 grandchildren; Jimmy McKay, Jennifer McKay, Jessica Cheyney Morgan, Meredith Cheyney-Lawler, Danielle McKay, Quinn Cheyney and Brooke Cheyney and 10 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening, 6-8PM and again on Thursday 9-10AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by Funeral Services at 10AM. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peggy's memory may be made to Compassus Hospice, 2 Campus Blvd., Ste. 200, Newtown Square, PA 19073.
