Obituary of Warren R. Reid

Warren R. Reid, age 91 of Glen Mills, PA died on January 17, 2018 at Rose Court in Maris Grove. Born and raised in Mount Vernon, NY, he resided for the past 5 years in Glen Mills, PA, previously residing in the Hershey's Mill Community in West Chester, PA. Warren was an Independent Insurance Broker for 50 years retiring in 2009, afterwards working in security for Hewlett Packard retiring in 2012. Warren served in the Army during WWII. He graduated from the class of 1944 from A.B. Davis High School in Mount Vernon, NY and graduated and received his BS in Business Administration from Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia in 1951. He is a former member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Samaritan in Paoli, PA and a former member of the Hershey's Mill Men's Bible Study Group. Warren enjoyed traveling, gardening, and doing cross work puzzles. Warren is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Clara Warren Reid. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy A. Martella Reid, 2 daughters, Lisa A. Scott and her husband David and Andrea L. Reid. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018, from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the Maris Grove Chapel, 200 Maris Grove Way, Glen Mills, PA followed by funeral services at 11:00AM. Interment will take place privately at the Church of the Good Samaritan Cemetery, Paoli, PA, Donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation at (www.alzfdn.org).
