Obituary of John F. Chambers
John Francis Chambers, Sr. of Aston, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 29th, 2017 after a long illness. He was 82 years old. His friends and family called him "Jack" and he was well known for his friendliness, sense of humor, and wanting to make all those he met laugh at least once during each conversation. Jack was born on June 27, 1935 in Primos, PA to his parents Howard Stephen Chambers and Anna Marie Maroski Chambers. He graduated from Girard College in Philadelphia and married his teenage sweetheart Constance "Connie" Wiechecki at St. Hedwigs Roman Catholic Church in Chester, PA. Jack and Connie were married for 62 years and had three children. Jack served in the Korean Conflict in the Navy, was a printer, and later owned several small businesses. Throughout his retirement Jack enjoyed history, electronics and collecting stamps, postcards and jokes. In Jack and Connie's younger days they enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, the Pocono Mountains, and more recently visiting his children and grandchildren locally. Jack is survived by his beautiful wife Constance; his youngest daughter Donna M. Mallon and son-in-law Thomas Mallon of Springfield, PA; his son John F. Chambers, Jr., daughter-in-law Suzanne Chambers, grandchildren Karli, John, and Timothy of Chadds Ford, PA; and his daughter Deborah L. Bradley, son-in-law John P. Bradley, and grandchildren Jessica, John, Patrick, and Lazarus Bradley of Unionville, PA. Jack is survived by his sister Margaret Hill of Wilmington, DE, and many Chambers and Wiechecki relatives. Jack was preceded in death by his three brothers, William, Lorin, and Robert. Family and friends are invited to the celebration and honoring of John F. Chambers, Sr.'s life. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and Liturgy at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA 19060. Burial will be held at Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
