Obituary of Claire L. Gwynn

Claire L. "Tootie" Gwynn, age 88, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2017. A resident of Wilmington, DE for over 50 years, Claire was born and raised in Linwood, PA. A homemaker, Claire was devoted to her home and family. She enjoyed gardening and crafts. In her spare time, Claire found peace in reading. In addition to her parents, Clarence and Teresa Denmark Bartow, Claire is preceded in death by her husband, Rees L. Gwynn Jr. who passed away recently, December 10th. She is also predeceased by 2 brothers, Clarence Jr. and Joseph and a sister, Ann Draper. Claire is survived by 2 children, Rees L. (Lynda) Gwynn III and Lois E. (Mark) Tinsman, a brother, Dave Bartow, 8 grandchildren, Matt, Jason, Brandon, Heather, Justin, Jenn, Missy and Joey and 17 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Thursday, 10-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 11AM. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Special Olympics of DE (www.sode.org), or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
