Obituary of James D. Turner

James D. Turner Sr., age 82 of Garnet Valley, PA died peacefully on November 26, 2017 at home. Born to the late William Pearson & Ruth Mary Patchel Turner, he has resided in Bethel Twp., PA for 47 years previously residing in Brookhaven, PA. James served in the Army and was stationed in Korea. He retired from Arco in the late 1990's. Previously, James was employed by Scott Paper for 25 years. He was a member of the Bethel Twp. Historical Society where he served as treasurer. His hobbies included horseback riding and raising & showing Shetland Sheep Dogs. He enjoyed his home and Farmette as well as Bee Keeping. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, William P. Turner Jr.. James is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marcie Turner (nee) Stephens, 2 children, Laura Pickrell & James D. Turner Jr. and 2 grandchildren, Nick & Alec Turner. A visitation will be held on Monday, 9-10AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 10:00AM. Interment Cumberland Cemetery, Middletown, PA. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
