Obituary of James David Weiss
James David Weiss, age 74, of Chester Heights, PA died peacefully on March 20th, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Born, raised and educated in Darby, PA he has resided in Glen Mills, PA for the past 35 years. Mr. Weiss served in the Air Force. He retired from DART where he was a facilities manager. In his early years, he was employed by Upper Darby High School as a Auto Mechanic Teacher. He later worked for Widener University for 20 years. James was a lifelong member of the American Legion, Post 926 in Aston. He was a member of the VFW in Lenni and the Polish American Club in Clifton Heights. He enjoyed playing pool and belonged to many leagues in the area. Mr. Weiss also had a love of animals. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Irving Weiss, a sister, Jean Weiss and brothers, Joseph, Harry & Roy Weiss. He is survived by 3 children, James David Weiss II, Scott Matthew Weiss (Jan) and Heather Kristen Comerford (Kevin), a companion, Sue Carlin, brother, Robert Weiss and 8 grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening, 6:30-8:00PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. Graveside services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to St. Jude Children's Foundation (www.stjude.org).
