Obituary of Donna L. Schneider

On Monday, October 30, 2017 the world lost a beautiful woman. Donna Lynn Schneider - a mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend - was born on March 18, 1960 in Chester, PA and raised in Avondale, PA. Donna graduated from Avon Grove High in 1978 and resided in Claymont, DE for over 9 years. In 2015, Donna was diagnosed with breast cancer. Like any Vickers, she was a fighter and was eventually put into remission. Earlier this year, family members received news that doctors found that the cancer had not only come back, but had spread to other parts of her body. Donna passed away peacefully at Christiana Care surrounded by love and family. As many know, Donna loved spending time with her family and spoiling her dog Chardonnay. She is preceded in death by her Father, Archie Vickers Sr., daughter, Melinda McDonough and a sister, Kay DiFilippo. While the family is happy that she can once again join lost ones, Donna leaves behind a son, Douglas Schneider, mother, Kay Henry, two sisters, MaryEllen (Jerry) Jackson and Stephanie (Bill) Mattson, four brothers, Archie (Charlotte) Vickers Jr., Kenneth Vickers, Lonnie Vickers & Jack Vickers, two grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews. For those who would like to say their final goodbyes, a visitation will be held on Saturday November 4, 10-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home (3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA) followed by funeral services at 11:00AM. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to GoFundMe.com/DonnaVickers.
