Obituary of Carolyn L. Marchione

Carolyn Louise Marchione (nee Sprenkel), age 88 of Havertown, PA peacefully passed away at her daughter's home on Monday, March 14, 2016. Born in York, PA, she received her Registered Nursing degree at Jefferson University Diploma Nursing School in 1949 and married the love of her life, Daniel A. Marchione in 1950. Together they raised 3 daughters. Carolyn was a humble, selfless woman who will be dearly remembered for her endless love of God, family and friends. Carolyn was predeceased by her husband, Dan, middle daughter, Velma Corey and son-in-law, Rick Armes. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Philomena "Mena" D'Amato (Bill) of Wilmington, DE and Louise Armes of Havertown, PA. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Erin Corey, Tony D'Amato, Jacki Armes, Rachel Armes McGinley (Sean), great-grandson, Carrick McGinley and son-in-law, Tom Corey. A 10:30 Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Havertown (Manoa), PA on Tuesday, March 22. Interment will follow at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. Following the burial the family invite all to join them for lunch at The Porch -at the Lamb- to celebrate Carolyn's wonderful life.
