I knew Mary through Horsehead and looked forward to her many visits over 25 years to the Chicago office.
Mary always alerted me when she was coming and apple fritters had to be available from the bakery; and, Mary, I am sure they are available in Heaven. In the evenings, we both always enjoyed dinner with Mary and shared stories of family, vacations, cruises and Vegas. We were so sad to learn of Mary's passing and we wish her family comfort in memories.

A Note To My Sister Mary Louise (Babyak) Wingert
Mary Louise: You will be missed immensely by me. It will be very hard not to hear your voice a few times a week and physically spend time with you. I am glad you had no pain and/or suffering that you expressed. You went out with dignity and with lots of love surrounding you. With the exceptional huge flow of friends and family visiting you on your last four (4) days, you had to know how many lives you have affected. I enjoyed and shared all of your life being your older sister, from your youngest days to the present. You were funny, the best friend, best sister, the best "second" mom to my daughter Vanessa, greatest shopper, and cook (it was nothing for you to whip up a meal for twenty (20) people; it never fazed you, you did it effortlessly and with love. The gargantuan yard sales you had out at your home in Klecknersville...inviting anyone who wanted to setup (most times ten (10) families) were great fun and will be remembered by all. You served for breakfast quiches, big punch bowl of fresh fruit, pastries, bagels etc and a full coarse lunch for everyone and their families and extended members of those same families...No One could top your A+ Hospitality. As you said to me in the hospital, which I will never forget, "Thanks for the Good Times". Mary you were the source of the good times. You have my memory bank overflowing: all the Holiday dinners, the trips to the Atlantic City Casinos, New Orleans listening to the jazz music at Preservation Hall etc., our trip with Joe and Debbie to London, the cruises to the Caribbean Islands, every day ...be it sitting on your patio and talking or talking on the telephone several times a week...every moment with you will be cherished and will never be forgotten....THANK YOU!!. Rest in Peace and in the arms of Frank.

I don't know if there are words to truly express my feelings on Mary's passing but I do know she will always hold a special place in my heart. She was a loyal co-worker, a true friend and confidant to Lou and me for so many years. I know she loved to go to the Mexican restaurants in Pittsburgh when she visited us and I won't ever go into a Mexican restaurant again without raising a margarita in her memory. I know I won't ever go to a shopping outlet again without seeing her sitting on a bench or walking beside me. I know I'll she was a one in a million, unselfish, generous, giving person. And most of all, I know how much we love her and miss her.
Mary, my dear friend, I wish you peace.
Love always,
Debbie
