Obituary of Harold C. Ebsworth

Harold "Eb" C. Ebsworth, age 85 of Glen Mills, PA died on September 9, 2017 at Rose Court in Maris Grove. Born in Philadelphia and raised in Delaware County, he resided for the past 11 years in Maris Grove, previously residing in Morton, PA for 49 years. Eb graduated from Ridley High School class of 1949 and served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked for American Airlines in Ground Services for 20 years retiring in 1993. He was an ambassador at Maris Grove where he enjoyed meeting and welcoming all the new residents. Eb was quite active, he volunteered at Taylor Hospital, he loved traveling and going to Wildwood Crest during the summer and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Eb was devoted to his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mildred McLaughlin Ebsworth and son, Gary C. Ebsworth who died in 1986. Eb is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frances "Chub" Smith Ebsworth, daughter, Patty Davies and her husband Brian, sister, Janice Fagerland and her husband Al, granddaughter, Christine Davies also many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday, 10-11AM at Maris Grove Chapel, 200 Maris Grove Way, Glen Mills, PA, followed by a memorial service at 11AM. Interment will be private.
