Obituary of John R. Forwood

John R. Forwood, age 82, of Garnet Valley, PA passed away on August 27, 2017. John was a resident of Bethel Twp., PA for over 50 years. A Designer Draftsman by trade, he was always known to be handy around the house. John enjoyed woodworking, carving, fishing, and watching sports. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was a longtime member of the Bethel Hose Co. #1 and also belonged to the Concord Masonic Lodge 625. John enjoyed hunting in Potter County and was a member of the Shurkey Tooters Hunt Club. In addition to his parents, Howard M. and Laura B. Eachus Forwood, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ethel M. McDaniel Forwood who died in 1983, a son, Harry J. Forwood, and 2 brothers, Howard J. and Lewis O. Forwood. John is survived by his daughter, Brenda J. Forwood, a brother, Harley A. (Joyce) Forwood and 2 grandchildren, Brittany and Christina Forwood. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening, 6:00-7:30PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. A Masonic service will occur at 7:30PM followed by funeral services. Interment will be held at Siloam U.M. Cemetery on Friday at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to the Bethel Fire House, 3737 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA 19060.
