Obituary of Cindy F. Hineman

Cindy F. Hineman (nee) Foreman, age 56, of West Chester, PA passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on July 23, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in Harrisburg, PA, Cindy has resided the past 21 years in West Chester, PA. Cindy graduated from Central Dauphin East H.S. in 1979. She received her Bachelor degree from Juniata College in 1983. Cindy then furthered her education receiving her Medical Technologist degree from Abington Memorial Hospital where she also served her internship. Prior to her marriage, Cindy worked at various hospitals in the area including Temple Hospital, St. Christopher's Children's Hospital, Hahnemann University Hospital, American Red Cross, and Crozer-Chester Medical Center. Cindy received her certification as a Specialist in Blood Banking. As a stay at home mom, Cindy was quite involved in her children's education and was an active mom at their schools. In addition to working at Neumann University and the Dilworthtown Christian Preschool, she found time to volunteer at the church's Vacation Bible School and the Unionville High School Used Book Sale raising thousands of dollars each year. She also served as a Girl Scout Leader and assisted with the Unionville High School After Prom. Cindy is survived by her husband of 27 years, Glenn G. Hineman, 2 children, Scott and Jennifer Hineman, parents, David and Barbara Foreman as well as extended family. A visitation will be held on Thursday evening, 6:30-9:00pm at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 10 W. Pleasant Grove Rd., West Chester, PA 19382 and again on Friday, 10-11AM followed by funeral services at 11AM. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
