Obituary of Stephen G. Downs

Stephen G. Downs, 56, of North East, MD, passed away suddenly on July 4, 2017. Born in Chester, he graduated from Chichester High School, class of 1978. Stephen served in the Marines and later was employed as a cook for various restaurants and eateries in the North East Maryland area. He enjoyed sports and softball, at one time coaching and playing softball. In addition to his parents, Raymond and Edna Downs, he is preceded in death by a brother, Roy Downs. Stephen is survived by siblings, Kenneth (Linda) Downs, Sheila Stafford, Janet Downs and Robert (Anita) Downs as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Monday night, 7:00-8:30PM followed by a Memorial Service at 8:30PM at the Moreland-Pagano Funeral Home, 825 Main St., Trainer, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Stephen's memory may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd Ste 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
