To this day I still can't believe that you were taken from us. More importantly, me. You were the obvious matriarch of our house, and the obvious choice for who had the most power. You would expect that a woman of your intelligence and generosity you wouldn't be as tough-loving, but half the time it worked the other way around. Man, you knew how to make it hurt sometimes, but never for a bad reason. If Grandpa was my father figure for a while, you were easily my mother figure, and in all honesty you still are. If I had the chance to see you one more time, and watch TV on that old couch that you were sadly locked to in your last years, I'd take it in a heartbeat. A day or two after you died, I tried, but failed to join you, wherever you are. Now I understand that you would never want to see me in that situation, so I try not to fall down that hole again. Every once in a while I still feel like you're here with us, or that I can hear your voice. Wherever you are, I hope you can see this. I love you Grandma.
