Obituary of Charlotte M Harris

Charlotte M. Harris, age 73, of Christiansburg, VA, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Duke University Hospital, Durham, N.C. Born, raised and educated in Chester, Charlotte had lived in Virginia since August of 1993, and previously resided in Morton, PA. Charlotte graduated from Chester High School class of 1961. For 25 years, Charlotte had worked as a secretary for Clifton Precision, retiring in 1999. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and shopping. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Claudine Faulkner, husband Benjamin H. Harris, who passed during the Vietnam War, November 7, 1966 and longtime companion of 43 years, Carl. F. Long Jr., who passed on June 27, 2012. Charlotte is survived by a brother; Steve M. Friday DPM, sister Claudine Scully, nephews; Thomas (Jill) Long and William Scully, 3 great nephews; William John, Ben, and Dillon Scully, and grandchildren, Jennifer Long, Amanda and Nick Frankenfield and Promise Leba. Funeral services & interment will remain private.
