Obituary of Marion L. Kusmer
Marion L. Kusmer, age 95, has gone home with the Lord on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. She was born Marion Albright, on April 6, 1920, in Philadelphia, PA and worked in the Navy Yard as a riveter during World War II. Her hobbies included sewing and cooking; she excelled at both.
She married Nicholas Kusmer in 1945, and they were together for 51 years until his passing in 1996. They raised their family in Ridley Park, PA and Wallingford, PA and later moved to Brookhaven, PA and finally, to Maris Grove in Glen Mills, PA
Marion worked at the Franklin Mint for over 10 years while being a full time Mom to her two children, Paula Schneider and Richard Kusmer. Family was always a critically important part of her life, and she was the last surviving child of 10 siblings. Her legacy includes her children, daughter-in-law, Cindy Kusmer, and son-in-law, Jim Schneider, as well as four grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to help celebrate Marion's life on Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA. Visitation will be held from 10AM-11AM, followed by her Funeral Service at 11AM. Interment will immediately follow to Glenwood Memorial Gardens, 2321 Westchester Pike, Broomall, PA.
