Obituary of Donald N. Tapper

Donald N. Tapper, age 92, of Glen Mills, PA passed away on April 20, 2017. Raised in Prospect Park, he has resided in Fox Hill Farms, Glen Mills for 18 years previously residing in Media, PA. Don served in the Army during WWII and was a POW in Germany. After the war, he graduated and received his Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and went on to work at Westinghouse for over 30 years. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of West Chester. In addition to his parents, Thomas P. and Anna McWhinney Tapper, he is preceded in death by his wife, June E. Strain Tapper and a brother, Robert Tapper. Don is survived by 2 children, Donald B. Tapper and his wife Valerie and Anne Tapper Rainey and her husband John, 5 grandchildren, Donald, David (Madeline), and Stephen (Juliana) Tapper and Thomas (Briana) and Douglas (Devon) Rainey and a great grandchild, Troy Rainey. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, 10-11AM followed by funeral services at 11am at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. Interment, Edgewood Memorial Cemetery, Glen Mills, PA.
