Obituary of Samuel W. Miller
Samuel W. Miller, age 82, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at his home in New Castle, DE. Samuel was born in Chester, PA. He was raised in the Rockdale section of Lenni, PA and Trainer, PA where he resided most of his life. Samuel proudly served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. For many years, Samuel was employed by Grubb Lumber as a truck driver. His favorite pastimes included writing poems and music, singing, fishing, and watching NASCAR.
Samuel is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Rebecca (France) Miller.
He is survived by his 4 children; Linda S. McHugh, William J. Miller, Pamela Louise Whiteside, and Samuel Miller, brother Earl "Bob" Miller, companion Joan Giberson, 4 grandchildren; Kevin Weber, Glenn Vandemark, Michael and Brian Miller, and 1 great granddaughter: Crystle Vandemark. Relatives and friends are invited to Samuel's funeral service on Monday, April 24, 11AM, at the Moreland-Pagano Funeral Home, 825 Main St, Trainer, PA 19061 where friends may call from 10-11AM. Burial will immediately follow to Mount Hope Cemetery, Aston, PA. In lieu of flowers a donation in Samuel's name may be made to the Seasons Hospice, 220 Continental Drive, Suite #407, Newark, DE 19713 or the Puppy Rescue Mission, www.puppyrescuemission.org
