Obituary of Anne Barbara Pender
Anne Barbara Pender, age 70, passed away suddenly on March 25, 2017. Born in Little Rock, AR, Anne has resided in Sarasota and Naples, FL, Galveston, TX and Connecticut over the years. She was active in fundraising and chaired Balls for the American Cancer Society. She will be sadly missed by her family. Anne was an extraordinary woman with a distinctive laugh and a dry sense of humor. She had many hobbies including tennis, music, dancing and time at the beach. She is survived by 3 children, Angela (spouse Paul) Leahan, Jessica Lantos and Rodney (spouse Jessica) Lantos, a brother, Robert Lee Duncan Sr. and 5 grandchildren, Charles, John, Anna Jeanne, Camila and Chloe. In addition, she is survived by caring stepmother Nik Dazey and four stepbrothers John, Tom, Dan and Bill Dazey. Anne, also known as "Barbie" was recently united with her biological brother Bob after 60+ years of searching for each other. Bob's family is in California and across the country and includes wife Kathleen Ann, their children Robert Lee Duncan Jr., Diane Marie Duncan, and Benedict Diaz (Barbie's half brother) and their children. Barbie also has family in Utah, including half uncle Leonard Sapford and his wife Vicky, along with Dianna Day Evans (Dave) and Cary Day (Sherry).
