Obituary of Joanne E. Ruebeck

Joanne E. Ruebeck, age 83, of Boothwyn, PA, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017, at Crozer Chester Medical Center. Joanne was born and raised in Chester, PA, and graduated from Chester High School in 1951. She belonged to Marcus Hook Baptist Church, and enjoyed spending time with her family. Joanne is preceded in death by her father Thompson Plaugher, mother Katherine (Phillips) Smith, stepfather Thomas Smith Sr., and grandson Dathan Ruebeck. Joanne is survived and missed by her husband Earl R. Ruebeck Jr., 4 children; Katherine Ruebeck (Ernie Curry), Donald Ruebeck (Eliza), Cynthia Boone (Ronnie), Dyanne Letts (Douglas), brother Thomas Smith (Janie), 8 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to Joanne’s memorial services on Thursday, February 23, 3PM, at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, where friends may call from 2-3PM. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, a contribution in Joanne’s name can be made to the Autism Society Foundation, www.autism-society.org, or National Down Syndrome Society, www.ndss.org.
