Obituary of Charles F. Segear

Charles F. "Shorty" Segear Jr., age 62 of Upper Chichester, PA died suddenly on February 16, 2017 at home. Born to the late Charles & Ruth Burridge Segear, Shorty has resided in the Ogden section of Upper Chichester for 20 years previously residing in Linwood, PA. He was a 1972 graduate from Upper Chichester High School. Shorty was a chemical operator for Witco Chemical in Trainer for 30 years retiring in 2005. A veteran, he served in the United States Marine Corp. and was a member of the American Legion in Ogden, Post 951. He was known by all as an avid Eagles Fan attending their home games. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and his Eagles family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his father & mother in law, William & Betty (Folger) Smith. Shorty leaves behind his beloved wife of 43 years, Debra A. (Smith) Segear, 1 daughter, Kimberly Segear Burkley (Paul Tresca), 4 siblings, Arthur Segear, Rita Burdett, Janice Gilbert & Diane Walls & 2 grandchildren, Payton & Presley Burkley. A visitation will be held this Thursday, 9-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 11:00AM. Interment St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery, Glen Mills, PA. Donations in his memory may be made to SPCA 555 Sandy Bank Rd., Media, PA 19063.
