Obituary of Ronald E. Windsor

Ronald E. "Poppop" Windsor, age 78 of North Wilmington, DE died peacefully on January 30, 2017. Born to the late Luther & Martha Dawson Windsor, Ron was a lifelong resident of Wilmington, DE. A veteran, he served in the U.S. Army. Ronald was a Plumber by trade and was employed by EVCO Inc. for 30 years. He was an active and lifelong member of the Bethel Hose Co. #1 formerly serving as Fire Police Captain. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family and summers at the Wildwood Beach. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Ronald "Corky" Windsor Jr. who died in 2009, and 2 sisters, Bernice Russell & Alice Spence. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Vivian L. Windsor, a son, Michael Windsor & a daughter, JoAnn (Steve) Abbott, mother-in-law, Anna Marie Wingate, 3 sisters-in-law, Ann McCartney, Ruth Rawlins & Marie Wingate, 5 grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany, Kimmy, Chrissy & Allie and 2 great grandchildren, Rilee & Brayden. A visitation will be held on Friday, 9:00-11:00AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 11:00AM. Interment Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
