Obituary of Dorothy A. Rouke

Dorothy "Dot" Ann (Kryworuka) Rouke, age 80, of Garnet Valley, PA, passed away on December 17, 2024, at Riddle Hospital. Born at home in Chester, PA, Dot had spent the last 18 years in the Belmont community of Garnet Valley, and was a longtime resident of Aston, PA. A dedicated bookkeeper, she worked for Delaware County National Bank in Chester and retired from the Penn-Delco School District. Following her retirement, Dot volunteered at the Riddle Hospital Thrift Shop.

 

Devoted to her faith, Dot was a longtime member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Mary (Luczeczko) Kryworuka, and her brother, Theodore Kryworuka Jr.

 

Dot is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, James "Jim" Rouke, who loved her deeply and looks forward to being reunited with her in heaven. She is also survived by her two daughters whom she loved dearly, Linda (Stefan) Darczuk and Jennifer (Marek Kowarz) Rouke; three grandchildren, Amber, Colin, and Chelsea (Jared Kauffman) Darczuk; and her great-grandson, Theodore Kauffman; and her sister, Theodora Jean Clark.

 

 

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 AM at Mount Hope United Methodist Church, 4020 Concord Road, Aston, PA, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery.
