Dear Laura and family,
We have such fond memories of David. Living in the apartment below the Schreibers at Creekside, for only a few years, we were often blessed with David playing his beautiful piano music. With thoughtfulness and consideration being his strong set, he often apologized for playing his music, in the event it would disturb us. He had a terrific sense of humor, genuine concern and compassion for all, interests in so many areas of life, and gifted with numerous talents. One fond memory we have is when we visited David and Laura in Ft. Meyer. It was such a treat for Joe when Dave brought in bagels and lox for breakfast! They also shared their favorite place to dine and attractions to see. David was always an encourager…. He even encouraged us to try Italiano’s restaurant in Boothwyn and brought many others to their business.. I attribute Dave’s strong marketing skills to their success! We only spent a few years being neighbors. But we continued our long distance friendships with a few visits and telephone contact over the years. Because David was truly “a special guy” in so many ways, it’s very easy to feel the love and kindness that he sincerely offers to all. We are very blessed to have known David Schreiber and to know his family.
In Loving Memory, Joe and Christine

Life began with David as my close neighbor in the Weequahic section of Newark when we attended Kindergarten together. Then our friendship grew thru shared schools, Newark Evening News employment and decades of shared events during our married years. I thank you David for enriching my life with your thoughtful observations, sharp senses of humor and warm companionship . While our memories hold you will always be with us.

Dave was a long-time neighbor to my family as I grew up and one of my family's dearest friends. This photo of him, with his ever-present smile and happy eyes, is exactly as I will always picture him. He will be truly missed. Sending love to Laura, Brian, Mark, and the whole Schreiber family.
