Obituary of Ernest H. Rago

Ernest H. Rago, age 77, of Upper Chichester, PA passed away on December 1st, 2024 at Fair Acres. Born to Dominic and Lillian (nee Mastrogiavanni) Rago in Philadelphia, Ernest was raised in Clifton Heights, PA. He was a longtime resident of Aston, PA before moving to Tioga County for 14 years, and recently residing in Upper Chichester for the past 2 years. He graduated from Upper Darby High School, Class of 1965, and worked as a heavy equipment mechanic. Ernest enjoyed fixing or tinkering with anything mechanical or electrical in his spare time. He was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church and a previous member of the Tioga County Honor Guard.

In addition to his parents, Ernest is preceded in death by his daughter, Annemarie Rago, and is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen (nee White) Rago, a son, Vincent (Britt) Rago, his twin sister, Dolores Purcell, brother, Ronald Rago, and grandchildren, Ava and Benjamin Rago. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, from 9:30 to 10:30AM at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 4225 Chichester Ave, Boothwyn, PA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM.
