Obituary of Amadeo S. Leonetti

Amadeo S. Leonetti, age 85 of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully on November 29th at Vitas Hospice in Philadelphia. He was born and raised in South Philadelphia by his parents, Alberto and Yolanda Leonetti. Amadeo lived at his residence on Sartain Street his whole life. He joined the Army National Guard in the 1950's. After serving his country, he played the bass guitar with Junior Jay and the Jades. He played in various clubs, mostly in Wildwood NJ. In his later years he enjoyed spending time with his friends. Music and movies were his passion, as he loved creating CD's and DVD's for his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Amadeo is preceded in death by his sister Giovina Di Stephani. He is survived by his brother Anthony (Michelle), and several nieces, nephews and friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5th from 9:30-10:30AM at Stella Maris Church, 2901 S. 10th St. Phila., Pa. 19148. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30Am. Interment, Holy Cross Mausoleum, Yeadon, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Amadeo's memory may be made to Stella Maris Church or Vitas Hospice 1300 Wolf St. 2nd flr. Phila., Pa. 19148.
