Obituary of Lowell D. Gardenhour
Lowell D. Gardenhour, age 92, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024. He was the son of the late Allen and Marie Gardenhour.
A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, Lowell served during the Korean War. Among serving in Japan and French Indochina/Vietnam, he was one of 186 American soldiers selected for a secret US mission in 1954. He had a passion for soccer, coaching in his younger years, and thoroughly enjoyed watching his most recent favorite player, Lionel Messi.
Lowell earned a Bachelor's degree and went on to have a distinguished career as an engineer starting at GE then at DuPont, where he worked for over 30 years before retiring. After retirement, he continued his education at West Chester University studying computer science.
In addition to his parents, Lowell was preceded in death by his brother, Allen Gardenhour. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Dionne Gardenhour; his daughters Bianca, and Chanda Lawrence; his son David Gardenhour; his grandchildren, Revis, Cooper, and Julie Ann Gardenhour; his sister, Betty Attridge; and his brother, Cletus Gardenhour.
