Obituary of Stephen A. Quick
Stephen A. Quick Sr., 82, of Upper Chichester, PA, passed away peacefully at home on November 17, 2024. Born in Ashland, PA, Steve lived in Upper Chichester for the past 43 years.
Steve was a proud graduate of Milton Hershey High School, Class of 1961. Following graduation, he served with the Merchant Marines before embarking on a career as a machinist at Boeing, where he eventually retired. He also worked at the historic Weaver Chicken for over ten years.
Devoted to his faith, Steve attended Calvary Assembly of God Church and was a longtime member of River of Life Church for over 40 years. He dedicated his time as a Scoutmaster, where he broke barriers by being the first to take physically handicapped children on scouting trips. He cherished camping trips with his family. Steve had a passion for model trains and photography, taking many pictures of his trains and family. He will be remembered for his kindness, ingenuity, and unwavering love for his family and faith.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Chester A. Quick and Olive Burchill Michael. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Donna M. Kelly Quick; his three children: Susan Quick, Rebecca Kaufman (Michael), and Stephen A. Quick Jr.; his brother, Michael A. Quick (Mary); and his three cherished grandchildren: Merrick Duff, Rylee Kaufman, and Regan Kaufman. He is also survived by his nephews and extended family.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Calvary Assembly of God Church, 2600 Shipley Road, Wilmington, DE 19810, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
