Obituary of Constance R. Getz

Constance R. Getz "Connie" age 81 of Smyrna, DE, passed away on November 13, 2024 at Christiana-Newark Hospital. Connie has resided in Smyrna, DE for the past 4 years, previously residing in Avon Park, FL for 13 years. She was a longtime resident of Upper Chichester, PA where she raised her family. Connie worked at PECO in Customer Service for many years until her retirement. After moving to Florida, Connie worked part time as a substitute teacher. Connie was very active in the Bon Ayre community, whether it was the Bon Ayre Ladies Club or in HOA. She enjoyed playing bingo and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies. Devoted to her Catholic faith, Connie was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church, where at one time she worked. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Anthony and Marianna Valenti Cifelli, Connie is preceded in death by her husband Charles "David" Getz and her brother Nicholas Cifelli. She is survived by 2 sons; C. David Getz Jr. (Clarinda), and Robert J. Getz (Katie), 9 grandchildren; Christopher (Kate) Sacharok, Julia (Brian) Hunter, Lindsey (Kyle) Campbell, Brandon (Mandy) Getz, Owen Getz, AmberLynn (Richard) Smucker, Jordan Smucker, Collin Arment, and Gabby Arment, and 12 great grandchildren; Olivia, Henry, Abel, Adalynn, Molly, Chase, Anslee, Graelynn, Lakyn, Calla, Dean, and Nathan. A viewing will be held for Connie on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 6-8PM at Pagano Funeral Home 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA. An Additional Viewing will be held on Thursday November 21st, at St. John Fisher Catholic Church 4225 Chichester Ave, Boothwyn, PA from 9:30-10:15AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM.
