Obituary of Carmella M. Ricciardi

Carmella M. Ricciardi, age 97 of Hockessin, DE passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024 at Regal Heights Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. Born and raised to Amato and Philomena Porcelli Ciciretti in Connellsville, PA, Carmella previously resided in Upper Darby and South West Philadelphia. She married her husband, Fiore J. Ricciardi and together they raised their family in SouthWest Philadelphia. Carmella had a love for her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially during the holidays. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, puzzles and games. Devoted to her Catholic faith, she is a former member of St. Alice Church in Upper Darby. In addition to her parents, Carmella is preceded in death by her husband, Fiore Ricciardi who died in 1995, and 4 siblings, Theresa McManus, Mary Tayler, William Ciciretti and Dominic Ciciretti. Carmella is survived by 3 children, Linda (Late Edward) Ranieri, Nancy (Bob) Warner and Rick (Marianne) Ricciardi, 6 grandchildren, Lisa Ranieri, Edward Ranieri, Jeff DeLiberato, Maria DeLiberato, Joseph Ricciardi and Christina Klessig and 4 great grandchildren, Rachel, Lauren, Kiara and Julian. A visitation will be held on November 8th, Friday from 10:15-11:00AM at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road, Wilmington DE followed by an 11AM Mass of Christian Burial.
