Obituary of Cecilia May

Cecilia May "Celia", age 91, of Glen Mills, PA, passed away on October 12, 2024, at Christiana Wilmington Hospital. Born and raised in Chester, PA, she graduated from Chester High School, class of 1951 and has resided in Glen Mills for over 45 years. Celia was the daughter of Joseph and Natalie (nee Kordowski) Reczek.

A dedicated homemaker, Celia's life centered around her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also deeply devoted to her faith as a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and a former member of St. Hedwig's Parish in Chester. Celia was an avid football fan, cheering for both the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs, with her favorite player being Patrick Mahomes.

In addition to her parents, Celia is preceded in death by her husband, George J. May Sr., who passed away in 2004; siblings Theodore and Henry Reczek, John Richart, Natalie Wiciak, and Blanche Sidlowe; and her grandson, Anthony Gaglioti (1996).

Celia is survived by four children: George J. May Jr., Angeline Gaglioti (Anthony), Natalie May (Robert), and Dominique May; five grandchildren: Mario Gaglioti, Courtney Hoey Schlenker, Joseph Gaglioti, S. Edward Hoey Jr., and George May III; and seven great-grandchildren: Adrianna, Riley, Zachary, Luca, Ashleigh, Vera, and Tesa. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, James May Jr. (Betty Lou), and sister-in-law, Maureen May as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
