Obituary of Louis Francis DeFeo

Louis Francis DeFeo, age 77, of Garnet Valley, PA, passed away suddenly on October 8, 2024, at Riddle Hospital. Born in Philadelphia and raised in Collingdale, PA, Lou had been a resident of Garnet Valley for the past 22 years.

Lou enjoyed a successful career in the restaurant industry, later transitioning to real estate as an agent with Century 21 The Real Estate Store in Garnet Valley, before retiring in 2011. A graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School (Class of 1964), Lou earned a Business degree from La Salle University. He also served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a dedicated member of Delaware Veterans Post #1 in Wilmington.

In his earlier years, Lou pursued a variety of passions, including tennis, track and field, and visiting casinos. He was also an enthusiast of shooting sports and spent time honing his skills at the range.

Lou was predeceased by his parents, Francis B. and Elizabeth (nee Cavarocchi) DeFeo, and his beloved niece, Jenn DeFeo. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sharon L. Hannum; his brother, Frank (Marci) DeFeo; his niece and nephew, Frank (Rachael) DeFeo and Angela (Anthony) Riccobono; as well as many cousins.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 1:00 PM at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
