Obituary of Lawrence J. Sullivan

Lawrence "Larry" J. Sullivan, 61, of Havertown, PA, passed away on September 15, 2024, at Bryn Mawr Hospital. Born in Darby, PA, and raised in Yeadon, PA, Larry had been a resident of Havertown for the past 19 years, previously living in Drexel Hill, PA. He proudly served as a Federal Police Officer with the U.S. Mint for 34 years, retiring in 2022. Larry was a 1981 graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School and earned his bachelor's degree from West Chester University in 1986. A dedicated member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Larry had a deep love for Irish culture. He enjoyed Irish music, touring Ireland, and spending time at Irish weekends in Wildwood, NJ. Dining out with friends and family was another favorite pastime. A history enthusiast, Larry especially loved learning about U.S. history and was an accomplished marksman in target shooting. He also cherished vacations in Cancun, which became a beloved tradition during his downtime. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Sullivan. He is survived by his loving mother, Antoinette "Toni" Sullivan-Falcone, his stepfather, Nicholas Falcone, his devoted sister, Patricia "Patti" Sullivan, and her husband Brian Calpin. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 9:15 to 10:15 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA.
