Obituary of Kathleen M. Michaelides

Kathleen M. "Kate" Michaelides, age 79, of Marcus Hook, PA went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born to Alexander and Anna Frances (nee Rigby) McClure in Chester, PA, she has resided in Marcus Hook PA and in Frederick, MD. Kate graduated from Media High School and worked at Fair Acres for 20 plus years, retiring in 2007. Kate was an active member of the Cokesbury United Methodist Church where she was instrumental in the food pantry with her sisters. Kate was known as an avid Yankees and Notre Dame fan. Most of all, Kate was a loving Mom, sister, aunt, friend and especially a Mom-Mom to her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Kate is preceded in death by six siblings, Doris Boyer, Bud McClure, Edward McClure, George McClure, Barbara Davis, and Anna Kersey. She is survived by her children, George(Kelly) Michaelides III, Robert Michaelides, and Michele (Kenneth) Stine, grandchildren, George Michaelides IV, Nicolina Stine, and Kenneth Stine II, siblings Betsy (Ronald) Myers, Michael (Ellie) McClure and Alan (Denise) Davis, and in-laws, Robert Kersey, Sherry McClure, and Anette McClure, and her very best friend of 36 years Vanell Hill-Green.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 17, from 10-11AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA followed by a funeral service at 11AM. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA. Yankees, Notre Dame & anything Irish related is welcomed attire for her services.
