Obituary of Margaret A. Buckman

Margaret "Peggy" A. Buckman, age 85 of Wilmington, DE passed away on September 4, 2024 at home in Wilmington.  Born and raised in Upland, PA, she has resided in Wilmington since 1990, previously residing in Boothwyn, PA. Peggy worked in child care and cared for many families in N. Wilmington. She was schooled at Hillstreet Elementary and attended Eddystone High School. She was a member of Upland Baptist Church. In her teenage years, she was a cheerleader for the Upland football team. She was an avid skater and enjoyed going to the Great Leopard Roller Rink. She loved to dance with many friends and enjoyed swimming at Village Green Swim Club. Peggy is preceded in death by her loving husband, Edgar "Bucky" Buckman who passed in 2005, her father, Robert McClintock, her mother, Pearl Seiverd Stipa, daughter, Lisa Riberio, who passed in 2023, mother in law, Blanche Buckman, niece, Teresa Iacona and her devoted friend, Shirley Derrickson. She was a devoted mother to John J. Moloney III and Susan L. Ryan, 5 grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Michael, Austin, Tyler, Caitlin, and Caroline, a great-granddaughter, Savannah, and 2 sisters, Linda McClintock and Bobbi Iacona. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12 from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 10:00 AM. Interment, Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE. Donations in her memory may be made to Upland Baptist Church, 325 Main Street, Brookhaven, PA 19015.
