Obituary of Nicholas Lysun
Nicholas Lysun, 75, of Garnet Valley, PA, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024, at Bryn Mawr Hospital.
Nicholas was born in Germany to Stepan and Eva (nee Rusakova) Lysun. He immigrated to Philadelphia, PA, where he spent the majority of his life before moving to Garnet Valley five years ago. Nick was deeply committed to his community, volunteering with the Olney Ambulance Corps, Riddle Memorial Hospital, and serving as a grief counselor at H.O.P.E. in Moorestown, NJ. He cherished his summers at Echo Farms Campground in Ocean View, NJ. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Nick’s greatest love was spending time with his family, especially his beloved nieces and nephews.
Nicholas is predeceased by his parents and his first wife, Helen T. Lysun (2000). He is survived by his loving wife, Beth Molette Lysun; his siblings, Nina Klingner (Calvin), Valentina Bray, Helen Adams (Bill), and William Lysun (Claire); his stepchildren, Michele Barnett and Marc Pasciullo (Jen); his brother-in-law, Robert “Bunk” Woolson (Lisa); and his step-grandchildren, Ben and Becca Barnett, and Samantha Pasciullo.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 11 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. A visitation will take place prior to the service from 10 - 11 AM at the funeral home.
