Obituary of Carol L. McKinney

Carol L. McKinney, age 78 of Claymont, DE, passed away on August 13, 2024 at Christiana Hospital Newark. Carol was born and raised in Upland, PA by her parents, John and Esther (nee Cowley) Kerestus. Carol resided in Claymont since 1990, previously from Upland, PA. Carol graduated from Eddystone High School Class of 1964. She worked at Crozer Chester Medical Center for 27 years in the dietary department before retiring in 2000. She enjoyed working in her yard and planting flowers, as well as doing crossword puzzles, crocheting and relaxing. Carol also enjoyed spending time with her husband and children, especially at her mountain house near Catawissa. In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her 2 brothers; John "Jack" and Ron "Bummer" Kerestus. She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Wesley McKinney, 2 children; Michael (Staci) McKinney and Wesley (Debra) McKinney Jr., 2 siblings; Jay (Herberta) Kerestus and Gail (John) Ward, and many nieces and nephews. A viewing for Carol will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 10-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Service at 11AM.
