Obituary of Rosalie "Rose" A. Lovell

Rosalie A. Lovell, age 85 of Chadds Ford, PA, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2024, at home, surrounded by her family. Born in Chadds Ford, PA, Rosalie was a Chadds Ford resident all of her life. In her earlier years, Rose worked at Dupont, where she met her husband, Edward. They remained in the area, where they raised their children, and enjoyed a full life together. A dedicated parishioner of St. Cornelius Catholic Church, Rose volunteered there before working as full-time Business Manager for over 20 years. Beloved by all who knew her, Rose's gentle and loving spirit will be greatly missed. 

In her younger years, Rose enjoyed bowling and was a member of several leagues. She also enjoyed cooking, and sharing meals and fellowship with her family and friends. 

In addition to her parents, John and Rose (Masciantonio) DiMedio, Rose is preceded in death by three siblings, Rita DiSabatino, Marie DelGrande, and Leon DiMedio. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Edward Lovell, two children, Edward (Valeri) Lovell, JR., and Angela (Mark) Koehler, and granddaughter, Hayleigh Lovell, in addition to many cousins, nieces and nephews. 

A visitation will be held on Sunday at St. Cornelius Catholic Church, 160 Ridge Road, Chadds Ford, PA from 6:00-7:30pm and again on Monday from 9:15-10:15am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10:30am at St. Cornelius Catholic Church. Interment, St. Thomas the Apostle Church Cemetery, Glen Mills, PA.
