Obituary of George J. Bingnear

George J. Bingnear Sr., 87 of Millsboro, DE died peacefully on January 15, 2017 at home. Born and raised in Marcus Hook, PA, he resided for the past 4 years in Millsboro, DE, previously residing in Chadds Ford, PA. A pipe fitter, George worked for BP refinery retiring after 11 years, previously working for American Viscose Corporation in Marcus Hook. He graduated from Eddystone High School class of 1948 and was a member of the Concord Masonic Lodge 625. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. George is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Dorothy Savin Bingnear, 2 sons, George Bingnear who died in 2010 and Ralph Bingnear who died in 2012, 3 siblings, James Bingnear, Ruth Bingnear and Betty Jane Westbrook. He is survived by his wife, Linda M. Welsh Bingnear, 4 children, Susan (Anthony) Koslowski, David (Susan) Bingnear, Kimberly Welsh and Bryan Bingnear, 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren also nieces and nephews. Relative and friends are invited to his Masonic Service on Saturday at 2:30PM followed by a religious service at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, Pa. where friends may call from 1:30-2:30PM. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Delaware Hospice at www.delawarehospice.org
