Obituary of Adam J. Foltz Jr.

It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of Adam J. Foltz, Jr. Adam was born on June 7, 1939, and after a well-lived life of 85 years, he peacefully passed away, surrounded by his family, on June 23, 2024, at Wesley Enhanced Senior Living.

Adam is survived by his loving wife, Janet Teel Foltz; sons, Mark (Susan) Foltz and Dan (Colleen) Foltz; grandchildren, Markus, Thomas “TJ”, Alexis and Logan Foltz; siblings, Jacob (Patricia) Foltz, Dorothy (Late Joseph) Stopera, and Barbara (Larry) Liming; uncle, Adam Schwartz; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Adam J. Sr. and Wilhelmia “Minnie” Foltz.

After graduating from Ridley High School in 1958, Adam bravely served his country as an airman in the United States Air Force in the early 1960s. After his discharge, he married the love of his life, Janet. They bought their first home close to family and friends in Holmes, PA before settling in Garnet Valley to raise their two boys.

Adam was always a committed member of the community. He spent his weekends coaching both BYC football and baseball teams, instilling his passion for sports in his children, grandchildren, and others.

After dedicating over 30 years at Boeing, as a helicopter mechanic, Adam and Janet moved to the Traditions at Inniscrone in Avondale, PA. They enjoyed making new friends, starting new hobbies, and cruising to tropical locations 64 times in their retirement years.

Adam had a passion for music, particularly Polkas, which brought joy and energy into his life – he even learned to play the accordion in his youth. A sports enthusiast, he supported his Philadelphia teams, the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, and Sixers, with fervor. He also pursued recreational activities like golfing and bowling, which he particularly enjoyed.

Despite his quiet demeanor, Adam's presence was always comforting and welcoming, capturing the essence of his loyal, loving, and helpful personality. His family and friends will remember him fondly for his quiet, loyal, loving, and helpful nature, showing compassion and kindness in all of his interactions. He unconditionally invited the world into his heart.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a funeral service at 6:30p.m. Interment will be private. Online condolences may be shared at www.paganofuneralhome.com.

It is a chance for all who knew and loved Adam to come together, share memories and bid him a fond farewell. His loss will be deeply felt, but his legacy will live on in the love and wisdom he shared with us all.
