Obituary of Joan M Dunay

Joan M. Dunay, age 69 of Glen Mills, PA died suddenly on January 8, 2017 at Lankanau Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Manhattan, NY, and raised in Dumont, NJ, Joan has resided in Glen Mills, PA for 40 years. Joan earned her masters in nursing and was employed 25 years as a Visiting Nurse with Christiana Care. She was devoted to her faith and a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle. Joan was active with the church and taught CCD classes for over 20 years. She was also quite active and an avid tennis player playing year round. Joan is preceded in death by her parents, Eric & Dorothea Keenan Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, John M. Dunay, 4 children, John M. Dunay IV, Kristen M. (Karl) Meyer, Gregory E. (Amy) Dunay & Eric J. Dunay, and 8 grandchildren, Sophia, John V, Zachary, Samuel, David, Christian, Emma, Lily, James & Jessica. A visitation will be held on Monday, 9:15-10:15AM at St. Thomas the Apostle (New Church), 430 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM. Interment St. Thomas Cemetery.
