Dear Michael, Kathleen, Nancy, Matt, and Carolyn,
I am so sorry for your loss. The world is a lesser place without Betty. She asked the big questions - about God, the afterlife, mothers, marriage, and dying. I loved talking with her. She always spoke about each of you - Michael, her steadfast rock, Kathleen, whose caring knew no bounds, Nancy, her spiritual comforter, Matthew, with his contagious outgoingness, and Carolyn whose generosity she admired so deeply. You were her life and her heart. She told me numerous stories about her “grands” and her “greats.” She was so proud of them!
Betty was one of the funniest people I have ever met. We shared so much joy working together at Our Lady of Angels College. I was deeply blessed to have met her, and so grateful our friendship endured all these years after. I will miss her very much. May the angels (and Jack) lead her into Paradise.
