Obituary of Leon G. Schnupp

Leon G. Schnupp, age 87 of Parkside, PA passed away on June 2, 2024 at his daughter's home in Glen Mills, PA. Born in Lancaster, PA, Leon previously resided in Chester, Parkside, and Manheim, PA. In his earlier years, Leon was a successful Farmer and Grain Dealer. He later became a Pastor and Bishop, and was quite instrumental with The Lighthouse Church in Upland, PA. Leon was an avid fisherman and hunter enjoying the outdoors. He enjoyed watching the Phillies as he was a longtime fan. He also enjoyed skiing, yard sales and the company of others. In addition to his parents, Morris and Martha Groff Schnupp, Leon is preceded in death by his wife, Rosalee Kreider Schnupp who died in 2015 and a sister, Erma Groff. He is survived by 4 children, Kathleen (Ken) Buffenmyer, Bonnie Vlastaras, Audrey Golder (Al Groer) and Diane (Kevin) Oberholzer, 2 siblings, Marlin Schnupp and Melvin Schnupp, brother in law Lester Groff, 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday June 9th, 3PM at The Praise Center, 398 Saville Ave., Eddystone, PA 19022. Interment will remain private at the Media Cemetery.
