Obituary of Loretta J. Chauvin

Loretta J. Chauvin, age 79, of Garnet Valley, PA passed away on May 14th, 2024 at her home. Born to Edward S. and Sophia Zgliczynski Manuszak in Philadelphia, PA, Loretta has resided in the Foxfield Community for 11 years, previously residing in Center Conway, NH. Loretta earned her Bachelor's degree in French from Immaculata University and her Master's degree in French from Tufts University. After her studies, she worked for Air France at Logan Airport in Boston as Special Agent and also opened her own Charcuterie business catering parties around the Boston area. She visited many countries including Kenya, France, England, Portugal, and Poland. After moving to Center Conway, NH in 1979 she worked as a travel agent until retiring in 2008. Loretta was a volunteer at Mother Seton House in Fryeburg, ME. She was an avid gardener and even won prizes for her vegetable garden in Center Conway. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Child in Wilmington, DE. In addition to her parents, Loretta is preceded in death by her beloved husband of almost 40 years, Serge L. Chauvin, who passed in 2017. She is survived by her step-children, Alex Chauvin, and Carole (Adam) Richardson, siblings, Carole (Edward) Devlin, and Edward A. (Maryann) Manuszak, step-grandchildren, Sadie Rose Richardson, and Jack Murphy Richardson; nephew, Edward Sean Devlin, and, niece, Alicia Manuszak. She is also survived by 3 generations of cousins. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 24th, from 10-11AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA followed by a memorial service at 11AM. Interment at a later date.
