So many wonderful thoughts and memories of a great man with a warm smile. Always greeting friends & family with a hug or out stretched hand. When you were around John you always knew there was good food, and great times to be had. He was the ultimate host. From taking control of the menu and food preparations with the greatest care, to making sure everyone was accommodated. John never hesitated to provide fellowship and the best dining experience you could ever imagine. He treated strangers as friends & friends as family. He openly showed love and respect to all who knew him. A very special man has been lost. The memories and imprint he left on all our lives is indelible. A life well lived is more meaningful than anything we could ever want for. John's life was a tribute to life and family. Oh, how he will be missed by all! Love and prayers to the entire family. God be with you as your hearts mend and precious memories linger forever.

Whenever I think of John Gallagher I immediately think of John and Nancy. You didn't get one without the other. What a team! The original power couple. Their devotion to each other was evident in every way. Frank and I were lucky enough to experience the wonderful way they navigated the many ups and downs of life. Our many travels found us in many US states, Europe and Ireland. Each trip a unique, hilarious adventure. John was the consummate family man and he defined the term hard-working.
No one was a better friend. He helped Frank navigate and adapt to life with IPF. We are definitely better for having known him. Rest in peace, my friend.

Nancy & family, My heart goes out to you all. John reminded me of two of my uncles. Very knowledgeable and such a quiet gentle personality. Big as the sky in generosity and just an all-round happy guy.
It's very difficult to lose the rock of the family, but his memory will live on in each of you. My love and prayers to all.

We’ve been trying to find the words for days but we know from experience, there really aren’t any that take the heartache and emptiness away when someone you love so much leaves you. John was such a wonderful, amazing man! We were so lucky to have been included in many of the Gallagher events!
As long as we’ve known all you, you’ve always been such a tight knit family, starting with John’s siblings and spouses, to his children, their spouses and last but not at all least his grandchildren! You have all made time and prioritized spending time with each other; whether it is family trips together, parties at each other’s houses or just hanging out and share so much fun and memories! We truly believe it was all because of John and his best friend and wife, pNancy!! John was the Patriarch of the Gallagher Clan!! What they have nurture with so much love will live on from generation to generation!! Prayers and love, Michelle and Tom

Met John later in life as we served as Collection Counters at our parish. Kind hearted and generous man. Enjoyed buying PSU Creamery ice cream from him for my family and to give as Christmas gifts - when he was fundraising for Brandywine Campus. John, will raise a toast this weekend at my daughter’s graduation from PSU in your honor! Godspeed sir

My condolences to Nancy and the Gallagher family. John and Nancy were my mother’s next-door neighbors when they Lived on Marsden Street in Philadelphia. I recall that John would speak to my Mom (Mrs. Farano) and that he was kind to her. I remember that John was very fond of his daughters and I recall him playing with his girls and their dog in the backyard. Sean would occasionally bring my mom fresh vegetables and fruit. My mom wouldn’t turn give John a tray of Italian cookies whenever she baked for the holidays. I remember that my mom missed John and his family when they moved away. Ironically, John and I share the fact that we are both FatherJudge Crusaders and Penn State graduates. May God bless your soul. Sincerely, Tony Farano.

I have many fond memories of John and his family going back to age 13, he talked me into being a counselor at Camp Stearn , sell flowers at Easter and chase his sister Rosemary around the house . As the years went by he and I experienced working together at Yardley of London and just hanging out and about . Many good times after high school and visits together once I relocated in Sarasota Florida . He will be truly missed . My love to the Gallagher family and my sincere condolences .

Love you John! I will remember the food times like they were yesterday. You were the best VP a President of PSU Delco Alum could ask for! Thank you for all of your sound advice. You will be missed.
