Obituary of Pasquale A. Mignogna, Sr.

Pasquale "Pat" A. Mignogna Sr., age 92 of Boothwyn, PA passed away peacefully on April 24, 2024 at home. Born in Kennett Square and raised in Chester, PA, Pat resided for the past 53 years in Boothwyn.  Pat graduated from Chester High School, Class of 1949 and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict as part of the Army Security Agency.  He was a police officer and detective for the Upper Chichester Police Department for 22 years retiring in 1996. He was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church and a former member of Holy Saviour Catholic Church. Pat was a 4th degree Knight and a member of the Holy Saviour Knights of Columbus Council 13710 and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police - Delaware County Lodge 27. He enjoyed baseball but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. There will always be a special place in his heart for his daughter-in-law and caregiver, Holly. In addition to his parents, Guiseppe and Julia Palombo Mignogna, Pat is preceded in death by his wife, Frankie Lowery Mignogna who passed in 2018, son, Pasquale A. Mignogna Jr. who passed 1985, three siblings, Julia Powell, Daniel Mignogna, and Susanne Masticola. He is survived by his son, Joseph (Holly) Mignogna, two sisters, Dolly Mignogna and Josephine Pokoy, three grandchildren, Theresa (John) Millison, Joanna (Colin) Suter, and Daniel J. Mignogna and a great-grandson, JT. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 1st from 6-8PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. An additional visitation will be held on Thursday, May 2nd at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 4225 Chichester Ave., Boothwyn, PA from 9:45-10:45AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA. Donations in his memory may be made to  Muscular Dystrophy Association (www.mda.org).
