Obituary of Charlie C. Burdan

Charlie C. "Chuck" Burdan III, age 83 of Garnet Valley, PA died on December 30, 2016 at home. Born to the late Charlie C. Jr. & Ruth Baker Burdan, he was raised in Clifton Heights. Chuck has resided in Garnet Valley for the past 8 years previously residing in Gradyville, PA & Wallingford, PA. A veteran, he served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Chuck received his engineering degree from Widener University and his Masters from Penn State University. He retired from Boeing after 25 years of service in the Mid 1990's. He was a Mason belonging to the Lansdowne Lodge, 711 F&AM. He was also devoted to his faith and a previous member of the Clifton U.M. Church where he was once quite active. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Jane Gaskill. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sara Burdan, 2 children, Betsy (Robert) Nester and Charlie "Chip" Burdan IV, 2 grandchildren, Corryne & Christian Burdan and nieces Jane Hanlon & Laurie Mentz. Funeral services & interment will remain private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Chuck's name may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
