Obituary of Catharine Jensen Gates

Catharine Gates (nee) Jensen, age 85 of Wilmington, DE passed away on February 25, 2024 in Wilmington, DE. Born in Washington DC, Catharine resided the past 6 years in Wilmington, previously residing in Woodstown, NJ. A homemaker, Catharine graduated Magna Cum Laude from Glassboro State College in 1989 with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Catharine was a former member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Woodstown, NJ. She was a fabulous artist who minored in Sculpture. Catharine was known for her loving personality and was much loved by family and friends. In addition to her parents, Elsworth Willard and Catharine Jones Jensen, Catharine is preceded in death by two siblings, Mary Jane Paterson and Conrad Jensen. She is survived by two children, Kelly (Frederick) Elie and Heather Gates, granddaughter, Kristen Marrone, and grandson, Raymond Ryan. Interment will be held in Wisconsin at a later date.
